International Musical Theatre Education.
Musical theatre education/further education
In addition to artistic and practical training, the education includes work with
professional teams on two productions. The final production will be carried out in a
professional theatre with the students of the programme working as paid artists.

The education is intended for you, who wish to work as a musical theatre artist and
already have good knowledge in all or several of the following areas; singing,
dancing or acting.

Place: Turku, Finland.
Language: English
Time: 1 September 2011 – 31 May 2013 (September 2011 – December 2011: distance
learning, December 2011 – May 2013: training in Turku.)
Educational form: advanced further education, full time. (NB! Not suitable for
Fee: 2200 €
Audition fee: 50 € (Only for those invited to audition.)

1. Apply for audition at www.imteducation.com by 31 May 2011.

2. Applicants will be selected to audition on the basis of applications. Those selected
will be invited to an audition in August 2011 in one of the following places:
Helsinki (14-15.8), Stockholm (21-22.8), Tallinn (28-29.8), (Zagreb).

3. Results from the auditions will be announced at the beginning of September 2011.

Malvius is the founder of the musical theatre education at Artisten in Gothenburg in
1989 and the musical theatre education at the Bayerische Theatre Academy in
Munich in 2002.

The IMTE is maintained by Turku University of Applied Sciences, NOVIA University of
Applied Sciences and Åbo Svenska Teater (the Swedish Theatre of Turku), with
financial support from The Finnish Cultural Foundation and The Swedish Cultural
Foundation in Finland.
