TV Private Channels
The base rates for the Estonian Actors Union members for working in private television channels in 2023.
All the minimum wages shown below are gross wages, from which the employer must deduct all taxes and pay social tax (33%). If the actor is working under a contract for services or as a sole proprietor and there are characteristics of an employment relationship, the following base rates will apply. Base rates are the minimum tariff rates for members of the Estonian Actors Union. The actual pay is agreed upon in a contract between the parties. The minimum salary fund is indicated in parentheses after the gross wages.
1. Minimum contractual daily pay (up to 10 working hours):
● A part - lead role: 234.33 euros (salary fund of 313.53 euros)
- additional hourly rate for the first hour: 35.15 euros (salary fund of 47.03 euros)
- additional hourly rate for each subsequent hour: 46.87 euros (salary fund of 62.71 euros)
● B part - supporting role: 194.25 euros (salary fund of 259.90 euros)
- additional hourly rate for the first hour: 29.14 euros (salary fund of 38.98 euros)
- additional hourly rate for each subsequent hour: 38.85 euros (salary fund of 51.98 euros)
● C part - one up to three-hour workday: 117.17 euros (salary fund of 156.77 euros)
- if the work hours exceed the above limit, the minimum pay of 194.25 euros will apply (salary fund of 259.90 euros)
2. Recitation of poetry and/or prose (if there is a visual and audio presentation and point 1 does not apply):
● Work up to 10 minutes: 43.45 euros (salary fund 58.14 euros)
- Each additional minute: 2.10 euros (salary fund 2.81 euros)
● Work up to 5 minutes (minimum engagement time is 15 minutes): 21.73 euros (salary fund 29.07 euros)
- Each additional minute of work (5-10 minutes): 4.35 euros (salary fund 5.81 euros)
3. Performance when there is only sound in the program (dubbing, reading behind the frame, voice-over, synchronisation, etc.):
● 60% of point 2 rates (the length of the performances is calculated according to the full length of the program)
● Work up to 10 minutes: 26.07 euros (salary fund 34.88 euros)
- Each additional minute: 1.26 euros (salary fund 1.69 euros)
● Work up to 5 minutes (minimum engagement time is 15 minutes): 13.04 euros (salary fund 17.44 euros)
- Each additional minute of work (5-10 minutes): 2.61 euros (salary fund 3.49 euros)
